GoPro MAX

Your GoPro can capture traditional videos with either lens in HERO mode or capture everything from every angle in 360 mode.

VIDEO

HERO mode shoots traditional videos with a resolution of 1080p or 1440p. The default settings are 1080p video at 60 frames per second (fps) with a Wide digital lens and Max HyperSmooth on. 360 mode can capture 6K source/5.6K stitched video at 30 and 24 fps or 3K source/stitched video at 60 fps for slo-mo playback.

ON-SCREEN SHORTCUTS

HERO mode features two default shortcuts, but you can swap them out for others.

Heads Up: 360 mode doesn’t have default shortcuts, but you can add up to two.

Horizon Lock (HERO Mode)

This shortcut automatically straightens out your shot by keeping the horizon level even if you rotate your camera during recording.

  1. Tap .

  2. Press the Shutter button to start recording

Digital Lens (HERO Mode)

Changing digital lenses on your GoPro is just like switching out the lenses on a DSLR. They affect the field of view, the cropping, and the fisheye effect in your shot.

  1. Tap .

  2. Scroll through the options to see a live preview of each option, and then tap the one that you want.
